ANGUS RESERVE SCOTCH EGGS

ANGUS RESERVE SCOTCH EGGS

36

AN OLD-TIME FAVE made with fresh beef mince. Scotch eggs are perfect for picnics or home – typically consisting of a hard-boiled egg wrapped in beef mince, crumbed and deep-fried.

There are two schools of thought as to how Scotch Eggs came to be – they could be descendants of the Indian dish nargisi kofta, a highly spiced version served in a yoghurt-based sauce or invented by British department store Fortnum & Mason in 1738.
